Monie had a big refit. New bronze floors/frame ends etc. Last year I think. Done in Falmouth.

Found it....

Lona II. One of the Lonas was in the Solent OGA. A few years ago she went to the med circuit. Beautiful.

Monie - smashing, thanks!

Be nice to locate a Lona or two. I snapped this in the Walton Backwaters in 2005 - can anyone confirm she's Lona IV? Her hull seems to match the design. Pain Clark was a real artist.

I have tracked down Fidelis in the SW

These are all boats Francis B Cooke wrote about, if you hadn't guessed

I have seen the boat pictured at the SYH classics for the last few years. I expect that she will be at the next one in June. She was out at the yard in 2009/10. I shall have a chat to her owner and find out where she is from if he is at the next SYH Classics.

Lona II used to be moored in Birdham Pool, Chichester, and was owned by a guy called Richard Maynall (sp?), an architect who lived in a nearby house. He was a member of the OGA. She was sold to (I believe) an Italian buyer about two years ago.
