Bumping an old thread. Currently sitting in Bradwell Marina and thinking about going across to Tollesbury tomorrow. Boat is a fin keel Fulmar drawing 1.6m. Home berth is in Conyer Creek so we have no problem letting the keel / rudder sink into some soft mud. Can anyone confirm if it’s soft enough for gentle / upright sinking? ?

'Fraid I can only add it sounds like not much has changed over the years.

I moved out of Tollesbuy in the early '00s because despite the owners claiming I should be afloat all the time my boat spent several hours each tide in keel deep mud which was ruining it's antifouling.

I visited the office there to close a deal on another boat last summer, didn't see the camera or small sign regarding parking and got slapped with a fine which took a rather irate phone call to have cancelled.
