More important than just the wind is the wave size AND shape.
Have run very happily over some huge (looking) but smooth shaped swells, but also had some brown trouser moments in overfalls off St. Govans. Although there it's not the wave that's the problem, its the f'ing big hole behind it!

Mind you one time in Pwllheli after a nasty Bardsey crossing we were in stitches as after his obligatory walk he refused point blank to get back on the boat. Not even some of the finest Edwards bangers could entice him to volunteer. When we got him back on the boat he ate one of the kids stuffed toys and was mollified. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
