Boyriven do many of fairline's walls. They are a distributor plus they organise the foam backing application. There are several fabric manufacturers; the walls in mine are by maharam in new York, who have UK distribution via kvadrat, but that is but one manufacturer of many. They and several other manufacturers make fabrics specifically for covering walls, rather than for making clothing etc out of.

See for example here. http://www.maharam.com/products/search?action=search&all=true&controller=products&page=1 I'm not saying all these will look great on your walls but the choice is huge and there are some stunning fabrics available to interior designers nowadays. (my cabin walls are Tek-Wall in the silver metallic colour fwiw)

Another way to go about this (rather than surf the www, I mean) is spend a day at the design centre in Chelsea. Just see the range of wall coverings and trim materials at Jab and Zinc-textiles, for starters

since no one mentioned, just to add that you have to be a bit careful on sizes of fabric rolls as you may find something you like but is not wide enough to cover your "wall"
I know they can be stapled/stitched/welded/sewed (sp?) together but stretching and securing in place is getting a bit dodgy.
In two occasions I had to devise a separation line (and had to cover it) in order to sort out large areas (that I created by altering the original partitioning layout - that I later realized is tightly linked to fabric roll widths!!!)

cheers

Thanks for all the very helpful replies ,

Have previously used Hawkehouse ,very helpful people but they seem to specialise in the more standard foam backed headlining , and we are looking to add some cloth type fabric to the existing lining ,

Ed Engel forgot about him, he supplied and fitted our carpets , agree does a very good job

Whitelighter if you could pm me Eddie Wraxall contact details that would be great,
and hope everything goes ok with the delivery of your new craft, just got back from visiting Sant carles nice marina ,

Well looks as though I have a little project for the winter

Thanks again

Eddie Wraxall is an excellent fitter of such things.

He did a boat for me including supplying the fabric and it was and excellent job. I can PM his number if you want it.

I know this is an old thread, but apparently Eddie is still doing business and if you still have his number I’d really appreciate it.
