Hello all
I could not find a second hand heat exchanger so I decided to try to repair
I glued 3mm thick seaworthy Aluminium using Loctite EA3479 all around the case.
Should be as new if the Loctite keeps, I once repaired a cracked oil pan with it and
it still holds so I am rather confident that it will be ok.
The water pump is ok so not the overheating reason
I removed the oil cooler and also absolutely not blocked so I am starting to think
something is wrong with the cylinder head gasket.
I wonder how to check this now, I would like to test this without re-assembling the engine
only to break it down again if something is wrong with the cylinder head.
If I can put some air pressure directly in the water channel from the cylinder head
to find out if it loses pressure yes or now would this work?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Walter
