The 60 was a clever design and hull by Bill Dixon. Its a shame about the lamination but they where also among the first Brits to go in vacuum infusion and PVC Diab core in that time.
I think in its time the Pearl 60 was one of the best running boats in its class. Not only Britain but World wide, thanks also to its very good balance, which an aft cabin can give you.
Even Princess had its fair share of problems when its switched to that, and also some of the Ferretti Group brands (05-10); Bertram and Riva being the most known.

2016 Pershing 70' Survey & Sea Trial

I recently helped one of my clients find and purchase a Pershing 70'. The yacht buying process requires a survey, inspection, and a sea trial. In this video, we took the 2016 Pershing 70' yacht "Spectre" from Fort Lauderdale, down to the Venetian Islands in Miami to pick up the client for a sea trial. We also had Adolfo Scarano from Scarano Marine on board to do an engine survey. I sat down with Adolfo to discuss more in-depth what happens in a marine engine survey. Hopefully, this chat answers some questions and offers some explanations surrounding marine diesel engines, their upkeep, and what exactly is looked at during the survey. We've got a follow-up video coming on the hull survey, as well as gathering the final results. The Pershing 70' yacht was delivered to the client and is enjoying life in Miami!
