Something that has puzzled me for years.
I have never understood why Blue Star and L&H ships always had their name and port of registry on each quarter.
I am not aware of any other owners that did this.
Just more detail for the mate to worry about!

I don’t know. It seems like a Family Decision, perhaps after An Incident.

“My lot” (Swires) had three Family Decisions:

1. Big funnels
2. Cheapest paint scheme (black topsides, white accommodation block, decks and masts “Mast Colour” (never defined, but in fact red oxide).
3. Small and uncomfortable cabins so the Aussie Unions won’t want to take over.
