Hello folks.

I wondered if perhaps anyone could point me in the right direction here.
My great grandmother was a sailing enthusiast. From what I have been able to gather
she had a boat commissioned in Devon I believe (estimated around 1925-35 ish) in Appledor?

I believe it was regularly raced around the Carmarthen area and perhaps further afield.
I was hoping i might be able to find a link to some old records or something.
The boats name was "Susana".

I have a couple of pics that I found recently.
I recently got my own boat that is lying out in Greece and her name is close enough.."Aqua Sue".

Id love to try find out a bit more info if anyone has any pointers.

many thanks
Martin

I love the flat caps.
The forestay is a bit slack and what an enormous mainsail.
I can’t be any help to information I am afraid.

Good spot.

Those letters could be LA - Llanelli just up the road from the address at Ferryside. Can anyone recognise the river?

.
My family are from Ferryside. I believe my great grandmother owned a coal business in Llanelli. I will see if that is perhaps a route to some more info. Thank you.
