Well, today is the day that my subscription to Navionics ran out. Given the absence of a boat or the prospect of any sailing it will not be being renewed.

Sort of sign of the times. In the camper Waze seems to be better at navigating.

The next waypoint will be to fade gently from here.

It been an interesting 17 years of full on sailing and fun most of the time

Thanks for the tip about Waze - and good luck.

More seriously, enjoy the camper, Gwylan.

Big +1 for Waze, in spite of the occasional mad moment, it's far and away the best app for the road, though Navmi has the advantage that you can download maps in advance, which is useful if going somewhere that doesn't have a mobile signal or does have expensive roaming charges.

I have a tendency to avoid Google if there's a practical alternative. Navmi (I'm sure there are others) allows you to download a whole country at home.

Yes, I know Google bought Waze, but it is, IMO, simply the best.
