The Forum presents \"A Christmas Carol\" (with apologies to C.Dickens)

Right, lets have another go......

Its time to get seasonal with this years extravaganza. As no-one else has started anything I propose "A Christmas Carol" loosely based on the yuletide classic by Charles Dickens.

We need a list of characters, here's a start but feel free to add or amend

Ebenezer Scrooge - Hlb
Jacob Marley - Oldgit
The Ghost of Boating Past - Byron
The Ghost of Boating Present - ?
The Ghost of Boating Yet to Come - Gludy
Bob Crachett - ?
Mrs Cratchett (noted for her fine puddings) - PaulineB
Scrooges nephew - Keith
Scrooges nephews wife - ?
Mr Fuzziweg - kind benevolent former employer - well no-one on here then (Kim perhaps)
Mrs Fuzziweg
The Charity Collectors?
Tiny Tim - Jimi
Scrooges Housekeeper?

With assorted cameo's from forum members

Here's the first line

"Red Diesel was dead to begin with. There was no doubt whatever about that"...

Right thats a start let's see if we can make it run......

Amended for both your suggestions /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Although I may have to retract pending legal or physical threats

"Red Diesel was dead to begin with. There was no doubt whatever about that"...

but Tiny Tim, although almost as close to death as red diesel, smiled to himself, feeling inside completely alive, with the joy of the white streets and the festive mood.... "God Bless Brussels, everyone" he happily cried

The register of the increase was signed by a useless treasurer, the EU, the MEP, and the chief mourner, known as Tony Blair. Scrooge (gordon Brown) signed it: and Scrooge's name was good upon 'Change, for anything he chose to put his hand to, including directive 2003/96/EC . Old and cheap diesel was as dead as a door-nail.

There was joy in the hearts of other's as well at this fair Christmastime.

Mr Gordon Brown, of distinguished, but somewhat dour demeanour, owner of the counting house on the corner was in no need of extra coal in his grate. The rubbing of his hands in gleeful anticipation of the extra revenues - whilst perchance being able to heap the blame on foreign sources- being sufficient to sustain his needs.

And, while the bleakness of the situation brought a chill to most, Mr Victor Asprey sat in his own glow of satisfaction awaiting the enlightenment of the general masses

if Gludy is the "ghost of boating yet to come" surely Tarquin Boats would have to be the "ghost of boating present"!!

Steady now, lets not go there. We don't want the panto thread pulled on the grounds of potential libel /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Never mind all this cast nonsense, who is making the 100 or so custard pies needed for the annual pie throwing skit?

Oh, and why does it say 3 threads on the main page, but I can only see one?

Don't listen to him, he's just trying not too hurt your feelings!!
Its cause they don't want you too see them, they're not being very nice!!

In one thread they are talking about Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, and they cast you as 'Snow Whitelighter', and Callums been cast one of the 7 dwarfs,,,,,
Can you guess which one???

Cheers

Al.
