Been looking out for one on the visitors to Southwold but not spotted one yet.

At one time, there was talk of an ECF burgee in addition to the YBW forum burgee.

If your boat is the MG35 that I saw in southwold (you were doing some work underneath-think it was last year) its rather a nice little ship.

Probably, always seem to be working on her, with little to show for it most of the time.

Yes I think we could do with a ECF burgee.

I'm all in favour of an ECF burgee. I've said before that I don't like the YBW burgee anyway and the way things have developed the ECF is increasingly the only reason I still bother with the YBW forums

So something simple, relevant and to my mind something that tells people what it is,
so peeps have half a chance of finding us online.

IMHO, there are 3 requirements for an ECF burgee:
- simple
- distinctive
- easily recongisable

On the basis that seeing something is easier to argue with than a blank shhet of paper:



Colours, font, design can all be altered of coures. I have no idea about the technicalities of making something like this but I tried to follow J's specification of saying who we were and how to find us. It follows that bits can be left off.

I'm off to play boats and on my return I'll see what the comments are and put up some different alternatives. Colours?

My comments, it's perfect, except definitely leave off the YBW.com, and perhaps colour the land a fetching shade of mud brown!
Alternative colour scheme: Just like an Admiralty chart?
