There is a British trained Lloyds surveyor in Corfu marina

After the problems I had using local surveyors in Germany and The Netherlands, I'd always send some one from home. At least you know where find them if there are any "problems". With cheap flights the extra cost is minimal.

You might mean John Crompton, of Ionian Boat Surveys, who I employed 6 years ago. I regret I cannot recommend him.

Can recommend Jeff Pollock of JPyachtsurveys. He was used by the buyer on our boat out in Corfu. Top bloke, very thorough and open with both me and the potential buyer.
If I end up buying my next boat in that area I would use him as my first choice.
