Are the midge reports just to put foreigners off?

A bit offshore they have never bothered us. Or does the endless drizzle make a difference?

Today’s stop, Loch Breachacha, Coll.

The sun, castles (two!!), deserted sandy beaches are all just photoshopped. ?

Last time (2019?) in Loch Scresort there was a wheen of visitor moorings, nearly all occupied. Seemed daft when the holding is so good. Midges and ticks await you ashore!
Yes, two trots of 5 yellow visitor moorings. Very new and shiny. I think lots are getting lazy and only go where moorings are available. Considering you could anchor several hundred boats in here, I share your thoughts.
