I am researching most cost effective video camera for recording race starts and finishes. Must have a time stamp on the recording. Looking for a dedicated video recorder as opposed to using a smart phone. GoPro Hero 7 Silver seems to tick the boxes but unsure if the product with time stamp can be viewed on a linked tablet. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.

The video on our tablet that I use, also records the timekeeper's countdown, my comments, and also the sound signals that accompany the flag removal. No need for a time stamp.

I know of a club who would like to show the start line video in the clubhouse on the information screens.

Does anyone know of a tool that can overlay which flags are displayed as well as the clock?

What about finishes?
Same tablet. only one time needed as stop watch can supply other times or also recorded time line below.

As for st599's query- the timekeeper should be heard when they count down to what ever flag and sound signal. [ Long sound 5secs for 1 min to start].
