I'd like to buy a reasonable amount of stainless (316) self tappers, nuts, bolts etc. Does anyone know of a quality supplier? I've bought from eBay etc. before but not been happy with the quality.

Bapp fasteners. Westfield for smaller quantities and more specialised stuff.

Always remember when you use newly manufactured stainless fasteners to treat them with anti seize lubricant, otherwise they can cold weld when you start spannering

I have always bought all my fasteners (running into hundreds now!) from ebay using one or two sellers only, particularly this one:- Kay's Fasteners | eBay Stores . Have never had any problems with supply or quality.
I was going to post something similar - we buy a lot of stainless bits and Kay's Fasteners are usually first choice and there's little they don't have

+1 for Seascrew.com always had very good service, including recently a phonecall when an item was out of stock asking whether I'd like to amend to the nearest they had in stock, and giving options rather than waiting. Not had that from any other website really.

Many thanks for all of your replies. I'm now struggling with the problem of too many suppliers! I'm not complaining, it's a good problem.

Allan, I see you are in Bristol. I have used Avon Stainless several times in the past and have had excellent service and quality products. I particularly liked the stainless ratchet strap things. They must be about 7 or 8 years old now retaining my calorifier in cockpit locker and still look good as new. Also tee nuts, a much underrated boon! Why not pop round, they are also in Bristol.
