14 March 2020 update

14 March, 2020 (1000) The Bucket Stewards have made the decision to cancel the 2020 St Barth’s Bucket.

In addition to the overriding concerns related to the accelerating global pandemic, circumstances have simply made it logistically impossible for the Bucket organization to provide a safe, competitive and responsible racing and social environment on St Barths. Regional French government mandates, sailing federation guidance and international travel bans on key regatta safety personnel were only a few of the many factors that forced this decision.

We would like to thank all of the St Barth’s Bucket entrants, participants, supporters and vendors for your extraordinary cooperation through rapidly changing conditions. Perhaps most importantly, we would like to extend a most heartfelt thank you to the residents and leadership of St Barths who once again welcomed us to their home under the most difficult of circumstances. We wish everyone good health until we see each other again next year.

The Bucket Stewards

Every year the world’s most spectacular superyachts gather in Gustavia’s harbor for the prestigious St. Barths Bucket.
The St Barths Bucket Regatta is an invitational regatta. Participation is offered to cruising yachts whose length is 30.5 meters or greater. The 2020 regatta planned to also offer a ‘Corinthian Spirit (Les Voiles Blanche)’ class.
This three-day invitational regatta features top-notch racing and exclusive shore side social events, all in a breathtaking Caribbean setting.
