Negligible increase in length, so handles pretty similar. Slightly more stable at sea, but only done about 60nm out to sea so far in the P45 due to Covid, whereas in the F43 we did several 500nm trips.

P45 is fitted with Cat-3126 engines. About 4-5kn at tick over. Much better/bigger FB layout, hence better visibility of BP, much better access to engine room and lockers, but we miss the aft cabin arrangement, and surprising the saloon seating layout that we had on the F43, the aft cabin separation was a great feature of the F43, although climbing over the back was not so good.

I recall we had some good friends (forumites) over from a neighbouring boat one night, quite a few years ago, when leaving the F43 in the small hours, the wife climbed over the back and tripped over a black line on the port quarter, she landed nose down onto a hard pontoon and had to be taken away by ambulance. Horrible end to a really lovely night, I never used black lines again on stern of that boat.

Yes OK, she was reasonably well anesthetised (might have misspelled that inebri......) before leaving the boat...
