Recommend me an auto bilge pump for rib sump

My rib sits on a swinging mooring and therefore needs an auto bilge pump to deal with rainwater. Over the last 10 years I think I've been through 3 or 4 due to various failures sometimes due to growth of green slime jamming the float.
I currently have a Rule-Mate which has started turning itself on at intervals even though there is no water to pump. I'm looking for something that has a reliable float switch or electronic mechanism and ideally not one that spins the pump up at intervals to test for water resistance as these could affect battery life due to my intermittent use of the boat.

When we had a RIB I always had a separate float switch as they are less likely to get jammed and therefore not turn on.

Agree with the post above. I have used a rule pump in conjunction with a rule float switch in my ski boat for years with no issue. It replaced a similar rule unit that cycled every few seconds and over time the battery would deplete.
