Very interested - does it have a model number. Mine is a M81190 and seems to be playing up......

Yes that is the one. As far as I am aware this is the only model made by Raymarine for their autopilots from the early 2000s until mid 2015 or so when the Evolution range was introduced.

Mine is a M81190 and seems to be playing up......

Oddly enough mine played up 2 weeks ago, more accuarately the autohelm autopilot played up..
I decided it was the fluxgate that was at fault and found a brand new, old stock one on ebay.. worked wonders...
I took it apart and other than a few coils of wire cant really see why it failed..
