I did one last year at a Christmas event. The prizes would be politely described as cheap and chearful, and sold tickets for 10p each, still raised about£50.00
Would people like to donate some old rubbish they don't want?, or a bottle of wine, anything really.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll see what I can dig out. I like the "cheap and cheerful" approach, but I think I can manage a bit better than an old spanner!

Hi Colin,

I'm surprised you find time for this, being so freshly wed and all. I'll think of something. You already have my spare French flag.

I've rummaged out a couple of prizes for you, Colin.

Not gonna reveal what they are (I think it's better in this kind of raffle for the prizes to be mysterious, perhaps presented out of a spare sailbag at the dinner), but one is an item of use to yotties, worth about a tenner at chandlery prices (probably 25p on eBay :) ) and the other is more of a little joke (but a genuine boat part having been removed from KS - and no, it's nothing to do with the heads :D)
