Race the Hauraki Gulf, NZ, on Sailonline! - partnered with SSANZ (B&G Simrad Series)

Hi all

Many of you may not know that Sailonline is officialy buddied with the Short-handed Sailing Association of New Zealand aka SSANZ and during the course of the year sails several classic NZ races in partership with them.

This coming Friday, 7 September @2100utc sees the start of the final competition in this year's B&G Simrad Series (a trio of races that take part in the Hauraki Gulf, off Auckland N). Sailonline will be sailing the Longhaul Simrad 100 course in Young 11s.

Because of its location, sailing (and SOLing) off Auckland can often be challenging and this weekend's race will definitely be sporting if the current forecast is anything to go by!!

There are many NZ SOLers and several take part in the real race so there is a real sense of interactivity about the virtual race.

If you haven't look into Sailonline for a while, then perhaps this weekend would be a good time to do so?

For anyone new, Sailonline is completely FREE to play with full functionality, and while it is a little more sophisticated than some point-and-click games (it is a navigation simulator after all!) there is an excellent user Manual and everyone is very happy to help answer questions.

Hope to see some of you at the start of this year's B&G Simrad Longhaul 100 on Friday (if not before in practice)!
