Quiet weekend for high tides

Went down to Teddington with some of the club over the weekend. Very quiet on the river, few scullers and some form of sailpast by Hampton Court (presumably TMYC). Teddington was a bit thrilling though, arrived at HW with the weir running backwards and the locks on freeflow. Cars up to their hubcaps by the Boatshop.

Lovely weather so a quet river seemd quite wrong.

Come across that situation a couple of times over the years. Wierd just driving straight through the lock with gates open both ends

This is something I have never ever managed to experience, it seems everyone else has seen it but me.

even better is going through the weir at Driel in the netherlands when the rhine is in flow!
