Had a phone call from Magali this morning welcoming us. Plenty of room on Q pontoon (alongside and in berths).

Hopefully Magali will join us for wine on Saturday afternoon so if anyone want to find out how cheap berths are in Cherbourg shes your girl!

When we left this morning I'd say the visitors berths were a little less than half full. There wasn't that much space on the east side of Q (maybe for one more big boat?) but things may well have freed up.

I'm probably repeating information that has been given elsewhere but for cherbourg first timers, what doesn't seem to be stated in reeds or Mr. Cunliffe's pilot is that the information chantereyne gives out is that for visitors, K pontoon is for <9m, N+P is for 9-12m, the west side of Q is for 12-14m, and the east side of Q (alongside) is for >14m. This seems to be pretty flexible, and it's written on the wall as you get in but may be helpful.

Currently at anchor in studland bay and won't be joining the party on the weekend but best of luck to everyone who is

Are you trying to avoid us? :)
