Pan Pan Throttled by a gib sheet?

On the VHF on Saturday afternoon we heard "White Knight" calling pan pan for a crew member who had been throttled by a jib sheet. Any news on how he is or how that happened?

I was also listening in at the time, although the initial call from the casualty boat never went out as a Pan Pan. In fact it started as a number of unanswered calls to 'Southern Yacht Club' rather than the coastguard.
A good reason for all Sailors to have some basic VHF knowledge.
