1. ENGLAND - South East Coast - Drying height. Depths. - An additional drying height just inside the Royal Harbour, Ramsgate and one reduction of depth on East Gully. The Image includes the drying height notified in NtM 4117 of 2020. Best avoid!
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Two reductions of depth on the Middle Cross Sand and South Cross Sand off Caister. Because of the large number of changes in the last month of last year and first month of this year, I have added these changes to the same image, BUT using (unusually) black ink. But the two changes here are not significant compared to the earlier changes.
3. BELGIUM - NM Block. - A new UKHO block which amends part of Zeebrugge harbour which can be downloaded.

1. HALFWAY REACH - EIVER THAMES - DREDGING OPERATIONS - On or about 28th April 2021, marine contractors working on behalf of Armac Shipping Services will be undertaking plough dredging operations at White Mountain Wharf, which will take approximately one-week. In order to accommodate these works, the workboat EMILIA D will undertake plough dredging on the approach channel to White Mountain Wharf. All dredge activity will be undertaken on the inside of the line of Thunder and No. 4 Jetties to minimise the impact on navigation. Dredge operations will take place two and half hours after low water at Tilbury. A chartlet indicating the approximate footprint of the marine works can be found in the Local list in the above quoted web page. The dredge vessel should display lights and signals as per the International Regulations for Prevention of Collision at Sea (27). London VTS will broadcast requests for vessels to “Proceed at Slow Speed” or” Proceed with Caution” as required by the works. Such requests will be broadcast by London VTS on Channel 14, as per the requirements detailed in Notice to Mariners No. 8 of 2021. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.

LIMEHOUSE REACH - RIVER THAMES - DISUSED MILLWALL DOCK ENTRANCE - BOOM REMOVAL - On or about the 19th April 2021 for approximately three-days, marine contractors working on behalf of Canal & River Trust, will be undertaking works to remove the boom and associated works at the disused Millwall Dock Entrance. The works will be undertaken from the spud-leg barge SCHELDEMOND I, with support workboats.
The works will take place during daylight only and may require vessels to proceed with caution or at slow speed. Such requests will be broadcast by London VTS on Channel 14, as per the requirements detailed in Notice to Mariners No. 8 of 2021. The chartlet shows the location of the working area is available on the above quoted web page. Further information will be broadcast by London VTS on Channel 14.
3. THE SWALE – FERRY REACH - KINGSFERRY BRIDGE - DIVING OPERATIONS - 22.04.2021 - Peel Ports have been notified of scheduled diving operations at Kingsferry Bridge on 22nd April 2021. Dive Ops. have been arranged to carry out an underwater inspection of the bridge structure which will be completed over the low water period from approx. 13:45 to 16:30 BST. The dive team will be working from the vessel “Dentex” who will maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 74 at all times. All craft operating in the area are requested to transit with extreme caution and keep a listening watch on VHF channel 74. Dive Boat “Dentex” Admiralty Chart Number 2572 refers. 5. The Wash - Approaches to King’s Lynn - Amendments to buoyage - due to changes in the profile of the approach channel to King’s Lynn, the following amendments to buoyage will take place:
1: on or about 13th April 2021
a) No. 10 light buoy to be moved approx. 160m x 130°(T) to 52° 52’.590N 00°22’.075E
b) No. 12 light buoy to be moved approx. 135m x 080°(T) to 52° 52’.315N 00°22’.205E
c) No. 11 light buoy to be moved approx. 100m x 020°(T) to 52° 52’.475N 00°21’.990E
2: on or about 14th April 2021
a) No. 8 light buoy to be moved approx. 50m x 085°(T) to 52° 52’.850N 00°21’.765E
b) No. 17 light buoy to be moved approx. 90m x 280°(T) to 52° 51’.700N 00°21’.195E
All the above works will be carried out by the buoying vessel St Edmund and all mariners are requested to pass at slow speed and give as wide a berth as is possible whilst works are being carried out. Contact the St Edmund on VHF Ch. 14 for further information.
6. Navigation restriction due to dredging works on Oulton Broad - the Broads Authority will be undertaking dredging works, from Tuesday 03 May until Friday 10 September 2021. The site stretches along the northern reaches of the Broad, from grid ref TM508926 (Causeway) to TM520928 (Mutford Lock) and then from Broad View bend to TM517924 (Coleman Dyke). The maintenance works on the water will involve the use of floating pontoons and small work vessels. Note During the above period navigation will remain open, but vessels must exercise great care whilst proceeding past the vicinity of the works. Please ensure that the area is taken into consideration for passage planning and when navigating in this area. All equipment will be lit and signage will be in place to warn of restriction and delays. Vessels should ensure that the new position is taken into consideration for passage planning and when navigating in this area. The maintenance works on the water will involve the use of floating pontoons and small works vessels. Note during the above period navigation will remain open, but vessels must exercise great care whilst proceeding past the vicinity of the works. Please ensure that the area is taken into consideration for passage planning and when navigating in this area. All equipment will be lit and signage will be in place to warn of restriction and delays. Leisure vessels will be permitted to moor overnight on Ha’penny Pier pontoons from Monday 12 April 2021 - The mooring facilities at Ha’penny pier will be open from Monday 29 March to Sunday 31 October 2021. Ha’penny Pier is manned by Pier Master between the hours of 0800 and 0900 and 1600 and 1700 (including weekends and bank holidays). During the summer school holidays, the pier is manned between 0800 and 0900 and 1230 and 1730. This is a long notice so see it all in the Local List in the above quoted web page.
