UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices:

1. ADMIRALTY Small Craft Charts published 2nd December 2021 -
SC5606 Edition 1 Thames Estuary - Ramsgate to Canvey Island - 12 charts
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. -
Five reductions of depth around the S. Holm and Newcombe Sands buoys (entrance to the Stanford Channel to Lowestoft).
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Pier. Works. - Pier construction works at Barking Jetty, River Thames.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Buoy. Moorings. Berth. - This notice is report the events of the Medway (Peel Ports) Notice to Mariners of 32 this year. This reports a temporary yellow mooring buoy with suspended warps between the buoy and berth at Sheerness. See location in the image. Notices to Mariners
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth on the western side of the Diver Shoal in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. At over 8m unlikely to hinder leisure craft.

Local

1. YANTLET CHANNEL - SHELL HAVEN - JETTY WORKS -
On or about 16th November 2021, works will commence at Shell Haven to replace Marine Loading Arms. Operations will take place using the crane barge FORTH ATLAS and tug FORTH TROJAN. The works will be conducted between 0700 – 1800 daily and are expected to be completed around 24th November 2021. Any request to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made by London VTS on channel 68 in accordance with the PLA Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, section 4. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS. The chartlet shows the location of the works (usual web page for image).
2. A Five Estuaries Notice to Mariners is re produced via Harwich Haven Authority. It is a download (on the Local list on the above web page) showing details of survey work during December out to the Outer Gabbard.
3. RIVER MEDWAY – SALTPAN REACH - Grain LNG Jetty – Diving Operations - diving operations are due to take place at the Isle of Grain LNG jetties. Work to clean the fire pump intakes is due to commence 9th November 2021 and continue for approximately 10 days. Dive operations will be carried from the vessels “Avocet” and “Renate II” with the “Westbourne” assisting as guard boat. Whilst on site all vessels will display the relevant signals for respective operations and maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 74. Due to the nature of the work all vessels are required to navigate with caution and reduce their speed and wash when passing Grain LNG Terminal. Grain LNG Jetties are located at the following approximate position:
Terminal No.10 51° 25.9405’N 00° 42.5448’E
Terminal No.8 51° 25.9309’N 00° 42.1760’E Admiralty Chart No. 1834 refers. Further information may be obtained from Medway VTS on VHF Channel 74, call sign “Medway VTS” or telephone 0151 949 6148.
4. River Medway – Heavy Lift Operations Sheerness Docks + Saltpan Reach – BP IOG. No1 - a tandem crane lift operation will be taking place at Sheerness Docks and BP IOG Jetty No.1. The heavy lift operation is expected to commence at Sheerness on or around 15.11.21 and then complete at BP IOG No.1 Jetty on the evening of 17.11.21. The vessel “Eemslift Nelli” (IMO 9671462) will load a marine loading arm at Sheerness, transport it to IOG where it will then unload the arm onto BP IOG. Jetty No.1. All vessels are requested to navigate with caution, minimise their wash when passing both locations during lifting operations and maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch.74 Medway VTS will promulgate any required navigational safety broadcasts advising traffic of the situation.
