1. ENGLAND - South East Coast - Depths. -
5 significant reductions of depth in the Kellett Gut (Goodwin Sands). The image includes the addition of a new obstn in NtM 3901 in a previous week. Looks like a dramatic reduction of depth from 22m to 10 in the centre!

1. The South Corton lighted buoy is back on station.
2. The West Quern lighted buoy is back on station.
3. BARKING REACH - BARKING RIVERSIDE PIER - CONSTRUCTION WORKS -
On or about Monday 18th October 2021, McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd working on behalf of Barking Riverside Limited will commence construction works of the new Barking Riverside Pier, works are expected to last until the end of January 2022. Jack-Up barge ADMIRAL will be moored as shown below supported by delivery barges and tugs. A navigational exclusion zone will be established as defined by the red boxed area shown below. Only vessels engaged in the works may enter the exclusion zone. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’. Safety boat THE MOLLY will be on station during working hours and maintain a watch on VHF Channel 14. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14 as required.
4. MERSEA HARBOUR PROTECTION TRUST - APPROACHES TO MERSEA AND TOLLESBURY - Admiralty Chart 3741 - RECHARGE OPERATIONS - MMO Marine Licence L/2018/00131/3 - EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 2021 – APRIL 2022 - contractors working on behalf of Harwich Harbour Authority with the Mersea Harbour Protection Trust and the Environment Agency will be operating in locations at Cobmarsh Island, Packing Marsh, Old Hall and Tollesbury Wick to distribute recharge material of a mix of sand and coarse gravel to rebuild and reinforce natural wavebreaks protecting Mersea Harbour and Tollesbury between approximately 51o45.20N 00o52.50E and 51o46.30N 00o54.30E. The contractors, Boskalis NV and Van Oord will be employing a specialist shallow draft dredger “Sospan Dau”(IMO 7711062) Gr Tonnage 1,546 LOA 72.80m Dft 2.80m. Delivery will be carried out on every high water (weather permitting), day and night, either by direct pumping of material over the bow of the dredger, or via a floating pipeline. Connection of the dredger to the pipeline and positioning the placement end will be carried out by a Multicat MCS Anekke (IMO 9570905) and a workboat. This work is commensurate with the application made to the MMO in respect of the above licence under Part 4 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009. Work is programmed to take place at every High Water, weather permitting, commencing early or mid November 2021 until completion by April 2022

5. Havengore Bridge - closed to marine traffic: Saturday 16 October 2021 -
Further to our notification of 30 September, I can confirm that Havengore Bridge will be closed to marine traffic while the Range is active on Saturday 16 October.
