A new Government report outlines substantial new marine conservation plans beyond the MCZ network. The inshore Fishing industry will be hard hit as it will hopefully outlaw most of the more damaging trawling activities. Its not possible to say how it will affect us yet, although there is an acknowledgement that socio-economic factors should be allowed for. Whatever else, restrictive legislation of the ki d we have discussed around Studland will be extended, and is here to stay. If handled wisely it could go far to help reverse damaging practices which are currently unrestricted. Otoh it could become a conservationnightmare, with no one but the priveleged few allowed access.

It's only here to stay until we can convince the great unwashed to vote in a more sensible government! Oh wait...nevermind
