Follow the rule of 7
If I haven’t needed it for 7 days I won’t need it for the next 7.
It then goes in the van in the car park. This is my shed.
Most jobs I do are in my marina so need to keep little on board, just a small tool kit, in a case bit bigger than a brief case and one box of spares. 18x10”
Being a twin engine I have my “get me to a harbour” spare.
Being an engineer to be without my tool kit is like leaving the house without my trousers on.
Used to keep everything onboard in a large laz, removed it all and the boat came up half inch
