Hi all I bought a old yacht from a boat yard but they or anyone who has seen it know the maker or model type. its 20 foot long 7 foot wide and is triple bilge keeled, no gunwalls so makes the inside much wider than others, outboard dropwell in front of transom rudder holt allen mast, boom and the wires(Sorry for not knowing any techy names as I am new to sailing boats but i have had motorcruisers before)
I only paid £295, yes thats no typo either for whats described as a gooey mess with slime all over which has now gone and painted and looks better

these are the pics taken as I bought her as u can see its a bit of a mess but is grp which seems all ok except for one or two small nicks on the top but, its name is Half a crown. if anoone reconise it as well or knows past owner that would be really great, I have never sailed a sailing boat before so this is pretty new to me but all who have seen it since i cleaned it up have said its proberbly a ideal boat to learn to sail in. I am single sailer as well.

Definitely not a Jaguar 22, very different shap. Looks more like a Bradwell 18 to me but I'm not sure if they were made with an outboard well.

There are a number of features Tony Tucker made use of on his designs. The rounded stern, the lack of gunwhales for space, the outboard well and the length of 20ft are all reminiscent of his Pippin, which is a much later boat than that and built round the corner from my house in Lincolnshire from the mid 90s to about 2010. See here:

2002 Pippin 20, Woolverstone Suffolk - boats.com

I don't think it is one of his designs....but you never know...an email of a photo to Tucker designs asking if they recognise it might just get a polite "no"...but then

Aha.....when I'm down at Woodbridge visiting my brother we often have a wander round Andy Seedhouse's yard. My brother has a small fishing boat with a cuddy

seems everyone is stumped...closest is hunter europa but even thats not right, maybe its been built at a boat builders from a set of moulds and made from 2 diffrent sets...or custom moulds but i expect that would of been expensive.. shame i have no past owner to contact or even a hin number anywhere..I have put my own number on for now and insurance company accepted it as unknown maker.. but whichever it will be a nice boat to go sailing with and I am pretty proud of it and when i go to sell it for a bigger one i will be a bit upset..

I will add I have been on the water for 3 weeks now and yesterday was first day out under sail power, just the main for now but i got to 4.5knots of speed and the design speed is 5.7 so not to bad really and its very stable and controllable under sail and turns very quickly.

Interesting boats on either side of you. Well done on bringing this one back to life. I hope you have great fun sailing her.
