As a young boy one of my first, and lasting memories of the sea, was when my father drove me down from Surrey to Southsea in his motorbike & sidecar to watch the arrival of Alec Rose and Lively Lady.
. So over 50 years later, why today of all days is this of note you may well ask. Well, this morning my wife returned from the boatyard book swap with a copy of '' My favourite tales of the sea'' by Sir Alec Rose in immaculate condition . It turned out to be a 1st edition signed by Alec himself.
