MDL Mercury Meet. Hamble. May8/9

Attendee list below. Check details, and post on 'Attendees' thread any missing information. Please keep that thread simply factual to make admin easier. Any comments, take it to a different thread please.

MDL are providing free berths to all attendees we can fit into Mercury. If we need to put you into a different marina then you may have to pay. MDL have also donated £800 towards food. Oyster Quay will provide food on the night like last year, and there will be a bar. We need to pay for food and marquee hire, so please read the following:

Payment information
=============

WARNING! No payment on the day this time!. We have to pay up front this year, so if cheques not received by 30th April, you and your party cannot attend.

Cost per head:
Adults (over 16): £20 per head
Children 5 - 16: £10 per head
Children under 5: free

Charity - Hamble Rescue:
As well as the cost per head, we are encouraging you to add a sum to your cheque which will go to charity. The charity will be Hamble Rescue, as last year. See separate thread for details on Hamble Rescue. As MDL are waiving berthing fees at Mercury Marina on the 8th, we are recommending a minimum contirbution equivalent to the cost of mooring the boat for one night, though you may contribute more if you wish.

Two cheques are required (for which apologies, but it keeps things easy to administer).

Please make your 'cost per head' cheque payable to: Oyster Quay
The charity donation cheque should be made payable to: Inshore Rescue Service Charity No. 265661

Both cheques should be sent in the same envelope, with an identifying note, to:

There is a standby list, and you are on it (as all rady mentioned, priority will be as much as possible in order of priority of registering, but as smaller boats are easier to fit in , smaller boats may jump queue over bigger ones)

Once you've registered on the attendee list thread you are automatically registered. Kim will update this sticky post once in a while as people register and I update the details.

Dom (and all who are sending me PM's etc), you've already registered that on attendee list - that's the only place people need to put attendee details. I've sent Kim an updated list for him to edit into this sticky post when he's next online. As people register, I will update the detail on this thread continually. I'll ask Kim to lock this thread off so people cannot respond to it, as it will be purely informational

Cheers
Brendan

It's been updated, and will continue to be updated until the event as people change numbers of people attending, and we move peeps from reserve to attending as spaces become available

Not wanting to steal a certain persons limelight re toasters and genny's, but I've asked, no make that "ordered", to have heating on the boat for that weekend. Will Mercury charge for the leccy hookup and do I need one of those terribly expensive metered leads or can I use a normal lead?
I myself won't feel the cold, but the other half will, cos she says she will!

leccie is part of mooring fee nowadays (which happens to be waived Sat night courtesy of MDL) and you just need a standard lead not a metered one)
You bringing the generator and toast for Sun morning - it's sort of a ritual now :)

Why waste valuable space with a genny when I could get at least 2 cases of Waggledance or 24 pint bottles of Circlemaster in there.

So normal lead. Thats good, I've got a few of them from the "van". All I've got to do now is wire up the wife to it.........you didn't hear that!
