There are also trees obstructing navigation at Temple tail lock cut and Culham head lock cut, passable with care. Trees that size will likely need a Hiab crane to lift out and the nearest will be at Osney or Sunbury yards unless Mr Cook is contracted to do the jobs. The EA will only react once the flows calm down or the trees threaten weir operation.

It probably suits them to leave the trees there to stop people from taking boats onto the river.

No - you've got that slightly wrong -
EA wants you to keep your boat on the River, but mebe not actually using it..

(Lots of fees - but no traffic to wear out the infrastructure)
