Looking at her waterline in the picture, with her lower mast in, but not the other spars, I assume she has a fairly heavy engine in place, but she will need quite a lot of ballast.

If there was ever a bigger pilot cutter than the ‘VINCENT’ / ‘PELLEW’ I don’t know of her. The Le Havre pilot cutters of which ‘JOLIE BRISE’is the outstanding example were bigger than the Bristol Channel skiffs but not by this much!
