The main thing that i avoided and follows the mantra of Viv Cox, was to not fit the Kong type swivels directly to the anchor.
If you do, there is a strong risk of the jaws of the Kong that are attached the anchor, being forced apart when there is a change of the direction of pull on the chain.
Best practice is to stick a shackle and a two or three links between anchor and Kong. This can more easily take up any change of direction and therefore any damage risk is greatly reduced.
I use an Osculati swivel with a Rocna which also twists the anchor the right way round as it’s pulled up over the roller, making the hoop on the anchor less of a problem.
