Kemp mast update

Finding it more difficult to handle the halyards because of friction at the masthead and where the halyards come out at the bottom of the mast. Has anyone replaced the wheels and pin of the pulleys with ball bearing types in a 1990s mast?

I recall correctly, there was a recent post by Javelin of this parish that he had done exactly this for clients and had put Harken ball bearing sheaves in. He may be along soon
