Hi Could anyone advise on the length of time it would take to replace the clutch on a KAD44 supercharger?
And any obvious reason why the new one wouldn’t click in?

Under 5 minutes. You need circlip pliers, 2 x M6 threaded bolts to hold it for tightening and a 10mm socket. 2 x circlips and a 10mm bolt. Easy job. Set air gap between .35 and .7 with a shim on assembly.

More likely engine above 40 deg c , Sc won’t cut in above 40 unless revving high or under load .

fuse is under black box along with edc fuse .
seriously don’t you guys have a hand book !,

Hi no, don’t have a handbook I’m afraid
Both those fuses are intact
Will report back after VP diagnosis has solved the mystery

Cheers

If you have no fault codes no plug in will sort it , if no power at clutch it could be ECU problem which means new one .

Turns out the turbo charger was faulty
It’s boost pressure was down causing the super charger to keep coming in and out of play
Exhaust side of old turbo badly corroded with big gap between blades and body
Should be max if .64 but was measured as2-3
New turbo fitted and all good, no smoke and running fine
Didn’t change the turbo on the other engine as both produced the same pressures and just hoping it doesn’t go the same way for a few years
