DJI have had the 360 degree facility for a while.
Been available since the Mavic Pro but the Mavic Mini 1 doesn't have this facility.
Essentially, the drone takes lots of photos (IIRC 36).
Whilst taking the photos, it stays in the same place, tilts the gimbal up and down, and rotates itself round 360 degrees.
The drone then "stitches" the photos together in a form that you can only display properly with special software.
If you view the images with a normal photo viewer, you will get some very weird effects.
Sky Pixel has the ability to present the image as a 3D view that you can explore on a computer or mobile device.

I wanted to show my images on our marina forum so I used some Javascript on a web page.
The Javascript within the page also allows icons/labels and switching of views to create the kind of thing that you see these days when viewing boats for sale.

Here is a link to my 3D Virtual Tour of Sant Carles Marina.
The images were taken using my Mavic Pro.

The stitching isn't as good as the 360 pano the Bigplumbs did with his Mavic Mini 2 but they are still good enough for what I wanted.
I remember tidying them up a little in Photoshop which was a bit of a challenge!!!

That Pano and what you did there is incredible..... Don't know about the stitching not being as good as mine I think it knocks mine into a cocked hat. and I did nowt. I just flew to a position and clicked a button that said start.

If you think back there was a time when this sort of thing if even possible would have cost 10's of thousands of pounds. Now people do it as a hobby.

Will they ever invent a beam me up scotty machine :)

I haven't loaded the SkyPixel app but the web page that you navigate to from your links doesn't seem to have a zoom function built in.
Unlike mine which allows you to zoom using a mouse wheel or pinch/zoom on a mobile device.
They both use Javascript running in the browser of course.

It is not my software but you do need to have a web server or at least access to web services.
And, of course know how to write some simple HTML.
Or, if you are like me, the determination to make it work.
The base software is Pannellum - open source and free to use.
This is a link to it - Pannellum
I enhanced it a bit by adding my own icons etc - I didn't think that their default ones "stood out" enough.
Initially, I thought it needed a specialist photo server but in fact as long as it can read the jpg file from the DJI 360, it will work fine.
As with most Javascript libraries, you can reference Pannellum directly from its own server or, as I do, from a folder with the Pannellum library stored within my server.
I prefer to be "in control" and not to be reliant on other servers being always available.

Here are a couple more that I've done in the past.
The first one shows an initial page with instructions its use.
The second one shows the instructions but a full screen initial view.

And Sladnor Park nearby which is under threat of mass housing development.

If you want to know more or help in making something like this work, just let me know.
