well i was wondering if any shipping companies allow international students to come on for training as a deck officer cadet. well i think i am the right age- 18 and i am female. so i was also wondering if yall could help me out or find out if there are any shipping companies who allow us international students.....i am from Barbados...n i am so fascinated about ships everysince i went on the Freewinds.

I was recently on STCW95 courses with a number of cadets from Carnival Line. Some from caribean. Give them a try.
