This is a 17 year old handheld which is in fine condition and was working seamlessly up until this month.
Now doesn't charge and suspect it needs a new battery if you can find one.
Comes with cradle and charger and handbook .
If it won't charge, it's worth looking at the three round terminals on the outside of the battery. Even if the radio has never been in the water, in the marine environment they are well-known for corroding and making no electrical contact, even corroding away completely if left untreated. Lightly abrade to clean metal then regularly use petroleum jelly or similar.
If it does need a new battery and you can't find one, there are firms on the internet that can re-cell battery packs.

I did have a good scan over those and tried it numerous times. As it was pretty old (17 yrs) I assume the NiCad battery was probably 'well used'.
I think the buyer has spare batteries so should capitalise on it.
