Title says it all - we came through about 4pm, and when we left Freebodys at about 5:30pm engineer was on site trying to fix.

Hurley Lock is hand wind only until Wednesday 12 August due to a fault with the public power operating system. Unfortunately the fix requires a specialist part. This has been ordered but will not be ready until the date given above.
Please consider the extra time and effort needed to use the lock when planning your journey.

As pump-out says - a bit hypocrytical me thinks.
Interestingly I genuinely forgot to buy a licence for tomorrow as I was enjoying the lower Thames ( below Tedd) do I wing it or own up in the lock or annoy my fellow lock buddies by buying a license (17 quid)I think you all need to rediscover your sense of humour! Are tongue in cheek comments no longer understood? Four foot snake!
