I'm already off the ground and building my 45ft proa in Aluminum. So I thought it was time to explain what and why an how.

In short I first wanted a canoe, then I wanted it to sail, then I wanted to sleep in it and then I came across plans for madness by John C Harris and though of converting it to an aluminum design!

And now I'm building it!

For the longer explanation this video tells everything

Yes, I'm using the madness plans to make an aluminum one.

obviously building style it different and I'm learning but the shapes of the hullplates where the most important.
