Working on a very special project and need to find a craftsman to supply a high gloss mahogany deck with 5mm contrast inlay strip.

Looking for the best of the best!

Any suggestions from those in the know would be much appreciated!!

Is this the true deck on a boat? I used to own a 1936 dayboat with a varnished kingplank on the foredeck and it was lethally slippery when wet. It paid to keep your feet well clear of it. The rest of the deck was untreated quarter-sawn Douglas fir and was fine.

Yes this is a true deck but a small area of foredeck on a custom build project where looks take precedence over functionality.....

It's a simple job. Cut the planks to size then lay them with spacers between using your choice of adhesive. Sand and spray for a mirror finish. Finally caulk the seams. Did the same thing in 1972!
