Hi Ian

My boat is at tollesbury and whilst I am currently polishing/anti fouling her on the hard I have seen the marina team using their new dredger even at the weekends when I am down there..

I'm not sure dredging is ever "finished" but from what I can see they now have an active process in place..

Aww, c'mon, don't you like a challenge?
As I have recounted before, we once attempted as a club to leave in the dark at about 5am for a cricket match on the Buxey sands. The sight of half a dozen boats bumbling around and blinding each other with torches in the blackness of night on a falling tide is scarred on my memory. However, I wouldn’t want to deprive others of the fun and hereby withdraw my suggestion.

We have been in and out of Tollesbury lots of times and, so far, failed to go aground. Always in daylight and a rising tide. It is much better marked now but quite tortuous and I wouldn’t trust a chart plotter to find the channel, except, possibly when leaving, to follow the exact track on the way in?
