Dutch Flyer

Stena Line do a deal called the "Dutch Flyer" for foot passengers

You pay a fixed price (I think it's around £40 one way) - travel from any East Anglian train station to Harwich, ferry trip Harwich to Hoek plus a train ticket from Hoek to anywhere in Holland.

You can do it one way or return.

Six hours on the ferry and another four hours on at least three continental trains.

I'd take the Eurostar to Brussels and then there is a direct train to Ostend.
