Is it suitable for bearded 1970's hippies to make a blue-water cruiser in a farmer's field?
I live on a ferrocement in NZ. Built by hippies in the 70's a farmers field and she's still floating! Must've been a fluke they managed to finish the job... i believe it took them 8 years. Not sure if they had beards but I'd suspect so.

There's nothing wrong with ferro if it's done right. Aye, but there's the rub, was it done right? Far too many were built with a trowel in one hand and the Build a Blue Water Cruiser in Your Garden book in the other. Actually, if they had the book, it was probably one of the better ones...

True, thankfully as far as I can tell it was done right! Believe it or not she's even fully insured. Sure hope the poor soul in Brixham was too...
