Dingle. Lovely. I was hoping to avoid posting stuff.
Good question about the MMSI.
I'll check on monday with the Furuno agent. I do have the password for the service section of the menu.
I suspect it will need an ethernet connection for the setup, either to a PC or MFD.

No problem happy to stand back if you get someone for local pickup. If it can easily change the mmsi and outputs on nmea 0183 I’m interested. Thanks

So, as an update, changing the MMSI is pretty simple.
See pic attached, showing that I have already changed the MMSI to avoid duplication.
To enter the setup pages, the AIS needs to be connected by ethernet.
The manual contains instructions for a connection to a PC, but I found it easier to connect it at home to an old router.
It's connected at the moment and I could enter the new data.

An external GPS antenna is needed also, by the way. Not included.

I would prefer to hand it over locally, to be sure that the buyer was happy and also understood what was involved.

Otherwise, if no takers for collection, at buyers cost and risk, I'm happy to pop it into a cardboard box for parcel collection, or local drop-off.
I can't guarantee how a carrier will treat it!
