Going to have a look at where my AV plate is and see if moving it up a hole would give me round where yours is. I take moving it up would prob need a stainless prop due to the cavitation?
Good idea of the Vaseline, going to smear some on mine too!
I was looking to update the wiring a little, did you put the battery in the box in the middle of the floor or just towards the middle under the back seat? And do you just have one battery or a dual set up? On overnights etc how does the single battery cope?
Mine has smart tabs which do seem to keep it pretty level regardless of who’s on either side, they are quite good though I purchased the boat with them fitted so hard to tell if they made much difference!
Ah. Yeah. Suppose the tabs would help.
The battery just moved to the centre of the same mounting area where it was originally. Under the hatch in bilge at rear, yeah. It’s been amazing to be fair. Hasn’t even showed the slightest hint of going flat. Running heating, stereo and others for hours and hours at the beach or in the evening.
Stainless prop helps for sure. But I also know that the standard k series white ally prop you are likely to have on your Yamaha…is a really great prop too. One of the best ally props there is, I think.
I was lucky enough to buy the boat after she had a more modern dash panel fitted, for the new gauges with the new engine. Looks really smart Or at least more modern than previously did.

Dash looks great! Hoping at some stage to dismantle a lot of the cockpit and cabin and modernise a bit!
Due a new battery too so gonna try a single marine dual purpose one, at least until I do all the bits and pieces inside, may need another battery again then.
Do you have any pics of your install?

I’ll get some for you, next time I’m at her. No probs. I’ll take some of the heater install location too, if you like.
Wee rare picture of her with the throttle open, on the smart craft ecu data gauges.

Haha. No. I wish. Mph. I think it’s about as good as they get…unless you’ve got a huge 200v6 on her to overcome the hooks on the hull. It’s fine at that…but need some chop under the hull to break the friction really. Most days it will be a 43-44 mph boat, if you open it up. And 40/41 in any day of the year with anyone on board.
I might be at her later today. I’ll get some photos of the heater on

Checking my AV plate today and mine is actually quite a bit above the keel line I think! Did you find the pic of yours to compare against? Also were you able to get any pics of the heater install?
looked under the seats and have a substantial amount of water in there too? definitely need to sort this rub rail

Found some photos from when I lifted it and fitted the hydraulic steering too.
Forgive the filth and anti foul mess. Was an over winter effort !
Im going to maybe raise mine again I think. But likely being silly. She is what she is…and goes superbly for what it is, to be fair. So good on fuel too. Think I’m just used to the other two boats being silly quick things. Time I just accepted her for what she is. Haha.
Great wee thing I think. The new custom hood design made all the difference too. Original hood was just terrible. Much better now and more options for its form now. Usually have her with the spray hood and back off mostly.
