Fire proof pipe for cockpit drains

Hi I need to fire proof my cockpit drains where they pass through the engine compartment anybody any helpfull ideas please Mike

You can also get fireproof flexible hose which is much more flexible to use.
Try your local industrial hose supplier like ARCO or similar.
Option is a Company called Flexible Ducting of Milngavie in Glasgow who make a huge range of ducting

Now here is a funny thing....

At the Norshipping exhibition in Oslo a couple of weeks ago I noticed that those nice people at Bondstrand who make glass fibre epoxy pipe for ships' piping systems (wonderful stuff, far better than spun cast iron!) were now advertising it for use in engine rooms.

"Has there been a change in the Rules?" I asked, having spent lots of my employers' money on copper nickel pipe for engine room water systems in the past.

"No", they said, "We just read the Rules more carefully."

Hmm, I'm with Ken on this....
