I bought an Excel SD290 (the older styling) but having inflated it and assembled it I realised its too heavy for me. It has a marine ply floor and a solid wooden inner keel so it will plane. Well made from Robbins Elite ply and the keel part is hardwood I think. It would suit someone who needs a bigger tender (seats 4 and takes up to 10 HP outboard) comes with oars, bag, pump, transom wheels and is well used , has some sticky areas, previous owners boat name in black marker on the bow, but holds air well (been up 5 days) and no patches to be seen. One of the seats is missing and the axle on one of the transom wheels has been replaced with a galvanised bolt. It would make a great boat for the right owner, who doesnt need the portability, and can transport the boat in a car if required.
I'm ideally after a similar age, quality boat, with no repairs, in the 230 region, with an airdeck, Id prefer an Excel. Thought I'd ask here before putting on Ebay.
